Margaret Reiter of Nugent Convalescent Home, 500 Clarksville Road, Hermitage, formerly of Sharon, passed away of natural causes at 3:10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 93.
Mrs. Reiter was born Wednesday, May 24, 1916, in Sharon to Howard and Sabina Goodall Gibbs.
She worked as a secretary to the superintendent of Sharon School District, retiring in 1981, and was previously employed in the business office of the former Sharon Store.
Margaret was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and bingo.
Her husband, Elmer A. Reiter, whom she married Oct. 2, 1034, passed away March 12, 1948.
Surviving are: a son, Robert F. Reiter and his wife Catherine, Sharpsville; three grandchildren, Brian Reiter and his wife Susan; Thomas Reiter; and Janet and her husband Robert Elliott; and two great-grandsons, Brent and Aaron Elliott.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Reiter was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas A. Reiter; and a brother, Howard Gibbs.

Service: Memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (10-31-09) in St. Rose Cemetery Chapel, Hermitage, with the Rev. Jeffery J. Noble, pastor of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, as celebrant.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery.
