Charles J. Fenstmaker of 21 Dunn St., Sandy Lake, died at 12:25 p.m. Monday (10-26-09) in his home after an extended illness. He was 54.
A son of Charles C. and Labethia M. “Betty” Leax Fenstmaker, Mr. Fenstmaker was born Jan. 27, 1955, in Greenville.
Charles attended Lakeview High School.
He worked in Chicago as a craneman for Chicago Bridge and Iron Co., then for the former Trinity Industries of Greenville. He was currently working for The OK Corral of Stoneboro.
Charles loved to work with his hands and do machine work and construction.
He was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed the outdoors and archery hunting. He loved music and playing his guitar.
Survivors include: three daughters, Elishia Frey and her husband Christopher; and Heather Coke, all Sandy Lake; and Taunia Fenstmaker, Lebanon, Ky.; a son, Mathew J. Fenstmaker, Stoneboro; his father, Sandy Lake; a sister, Rose Johnson and her husband Eric, Seattle; four brothers, Bill Fenstmaker and his wife Velva, Dave Fenstmaker and Donnie Fenstmaker and his wife Amy, all Cochranton; and Monty Fenstmaker and his wife Raina, Seattle; and five grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother and an infant sister, Nancy Fenstmaker.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
