Edna Sutherland

Seamstress was member of Grace U.M. Church




Edna Sutherland, Jackson, Mich., formerly of Grove City, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, in Gulf Port, Miss. She was 80.

She was born in Kokomo, Ind., a daughter of Joe and Sarah Helmuth Bontrager.

Mrs. Sutherland married Lester W. Sutherland on Feb. 4, 1961. He died June 25, 1995.

A seamstress, she was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City.

Surviving are: a daughter, the Rev. Susan J. Babb and her husband, the Rev. Mark R. Babb, of Jackson, Mich.; four sisters, Fannie Brenneman and her husband, Ray, of Peru, Ill.; and Amanda Miller, Sylvia Bontrager and Alma Bontrager, all of Kokomo.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents, two sisters and eight brothers.
