Mary Edna Stinedurf

Retired librarian belonged to Center Presbyterian

BOARDMAN, Ohio — Mary Edna Stinedurf of Greenbriar Nursing Home, Boardman, formerly of Columbia Avenue, Grove City, passed away at 11:25 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, in her residence after an extended illness. She was 94.

Mrs. Stinedurf was born on July 4, 1914, in Erwinna, Bucks County, to Robert Hood Reynolds and Edna Bobbitt Reynolds.

She was a 1932 alumna of Grove City High School and graduated from Grove City College Class of 1937 and the Western School of Library Science.

A librarian and educator, Mrs. Stinedurf was employed by Farrell Area High School, Cleveland Heights Public Schools; Grove City College from 1946-54; and Lakeview High School, 1964-68.

She was a member of Center Presbyterian Church, Grove City.

Mrs. Stinedurf also belonged to Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, National Retired Teachers Association and Grove City Business and Professional Women.

Her husband, George Klein Stinedurf, whom she married on Dec. 23, 1967, passed away Nov. 5, 1992.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Stinedurf was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, George Forrester Reynolds, John Harold Reynolds, William Kenneth Reynolds and the Rev. Charles F. Reynolds; three sisters, Esther Jo, Inez and Bertha Rose Reynolds; and two stepdaughters, Shirley Robinson and Patricia Krantz.

Calling hours: 9:30 a.m. to time of service Thursday (12-4-08) in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. David A. Lingle, officiating.

Interment: Woodland Cemetery, Grove City.
