Slippery Rock woman was teacher, active in church


PITTSBURGH — Nova June Fox, Slippery Rock, died peacefully with her family by her side at noon Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She was 77.

Mrs. Fox was born July 6, 1929, in Warren, Pa.

She was a devoted wife and mother and an accomplished painter.

Mrs. Fox earned a bachelor of arts degree from Allegheny College, Meadville, and a master of arts from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

She was a co-founder of SHHH of Grove City; was a former senior warden and president of ECW at Church of Epiphany Episcopal, Pine Township; and was an art teacher at Portersville Christian School.

She is survived by: her children, Larnie Fox and his wife Bodil; Elroy Fox; and Colleen and her husband Gary Dodge; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Fox; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mona and her husband William Bishop; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fox was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence W. Fox; and a son, Timothy Fox.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of Epiphany Episcopal, 870 Liberty St. Extension, Box 287, Grove City 16127-9007.

Service: Memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday (12-23-06) in Church of Epiphany Episcopal, 870 Liberty St. Extension, Route 173, Pine Township.

Burial: A cremation has taken place.
