Mary Karsonovich of Masury passed away at 5:10 a.m. Thursday (7-9-09) in her residence. She was 91.
Born in Masury on March 31, 1918, Mary was the daughter of the late John and Martha Kraynak Slovesko Sr.
She married Julius “Ceasar” Karsonovich on Jan. 26, 1946. He preceded her in death July 21, 1991.
She was a member of St. John’s Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church in Sharon and of the Sr. ACRY of the church.
Mary enjoyed playing bingo and bowling when she was able.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Larry Long, Mercer; a granddaughter and her husband Jennifer and Sean Miller; a grandson, Larry C. Long; a great-grandson, Brandon James Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Michael and George Slovesko.
Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Karsonovich’s name to the St. John’s Building Fund, 725 Cedar Ave., Sharon 16146.

Interment: St. John’s Cemetery Chapel.
