Cancelation

• A Night at the Races scheduled for Saturday at Brandy Spring Community Building, Mercer, has been canceled.



Fundraisers

• A reverse raffle, hosted by Relay For Life Mercer team, Hunting For a Cure, will be held Saturday at Brandy Springs Park Community Building in Mercer. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the raffle starting at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 and includes food. There will be a super Chinese auction with such items as tickets for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Mahoning Valley Scrappers and Mercer Raceway, golf at Spring Valley, a Red Lobster certificate, and much more. In addition there will be a 50/50 raffle drawing and a lottery tree. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. This is a 21 and older only, BYOB event. • The Kyle Bly Memorial Foundation will be hosting Kyle’s G-3 Game Day – A Games & Grub Gathering Saturday at Tully’s Restaurant in downtown Sharon. Doors open at noon. For $10, you can enjoy great food and get to play some of today’s most popular video games. One lucky player will win a Nintendo DS Lite. There will be plenty of giveaways and a gift basket raffle. For an addition $5, you can enter the Wii Bowling tournament where prizes will be awarded to the top “Professional,” “Amateur,” and “under 12 bowlers.” Bowling tournament begins at 1 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Kyle Bly Memorial Foundation. Meetings

• West Middlesex High School class of 1970 gathers for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Billy’s Black and Gold, Sharpsville Avenue, Sharon. All classmates, spouses and friends are welcome.

• Brandy Springs Mercer Seniors are starting off a full schedule of spring events with an Irish singalong with Chuck Thorp on Wednesday. Those celebrating a March birthday will tell of events in their first 18 years of life. On March 24 anyone who loves Easter hats is invited to join a group as they create their own; supplies will be furnished. On March 31 there will be an Easter parade as they show off their creations. On April 7, Jodie Hanes, social services/administrator for Countryside Convalescent Home in East Lackawannock Township will conduct prize bingo. The public is invited to these events which start at 11 a.m., plus cards and table games earlier in the morning every Wednesday. Reservations for lunch, 724-662-1394.
