Fundraisers
• Stoneboro Methodist Church holds an all-you-can-eat hunters breakfast from 5 to 7 a.m. Nov. 30.
Hunters will also have their thermos filled up for free.
• A Chinese auction will be Nov. 29 at Reynolds Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7599, 115 Edgewood Drive, Transfer. Doors open at 1 p.m. and drawings begin at 3 p.m.
There will be free refreshments.
• A pancake breakfast will be 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 5 at Mercer Free Methodist Church, 519 Grant St.
Cost is $5.
• The Kaine Kulka benefit will be 1 to 7 p.m. Nov. 22 at the Reynolds Veterans of Foreign Wars, 115 Edgewood Drive, Greenville. A dinner buffet, includes roast chicken cooked on spits, side dishes and beverages, from 2 to 6 p.m.; giant Chinese auction from 2 to 6 p.m. and the 50/50 raffle at 6 p.m. Participants will have a chance to win an autographed custom shop guitar compliments of Tonetronix in Hubbard.
The Hern Brothers Band will provide entertainment from 3 to 6 p.m.
Cost is $12 for adults; $6 for children ages 4 to 12; and children younger than age 4 are free. Tickets, call 330-507-0381.
• A Chinese auction, sponsored by St. John’s C.R. Orthodox Church, is set for Sunday at St. John’s Educational Center, corner of Cedar and Morrison avenues, Sharon. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and drawings start at 3 p.m.

• A braised steak dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at First Church of God, 192 Vernon Road, (West Main Hill), Greenville.
Dinner includes braised steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, tossed salad, bread, pie and beverage.

• Episcopal Church Women holds a 3C’s of Christmas, cookies, candy and crafts from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 5 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 226 W. State St., Sharon.
Lunch available. There will be a 50/50 raffle and drawing held at 2 p.m. Need not be present to win.

• West Middlesex High School class of 1970 meets for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Billy’s Black & Gold, Sharpsville Avenue, Sharon.
• Greenville High School class of 1946 gathers at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Stone Arch, Hadley Road, Greenville.
• Reynolds High School class of 1961 meets for breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday at Perkins Restaurant, Hadley Road, Greenville.
• Classmates from Sharon High School class of 1951 will get-together for lunch Wednesday at the Backyard Bistro.
• Sharpsville Area Historical Society will hold a wrap up meeting of the opera and oldies dance at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 in the Chloe Pierce Community Chapel, 110 N. Mercer Ave., Sharpsville.
All members are invited.
There will not be a December meeting.
Support groups
• Anorexia Nervosa & Bulimia Self-help Group meets from 5:30 to 6:45 every Thursday in the Founders room of Notre Dame Church, 2325 Highland Road, Hermitage.

Bus trip
• Hermitage Parks & Recreation sponsors a bus trip to Rivers Casino or shopping and Hartwood Acres Festival of Lights on Nov. 22. Depart from Hermitage City Building, 800 N. Hermitage Road, at 8:15 a.m.
For those who do not wish to go to the Casino, the motor coach will make a second stop at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall for free time for shopping. Dinner at Bob Evans is included. There will be a guided tour of Hartwood Acres Festival of Lights.
Cost is $50 a person and includes a $10 coin and $5 food coupon for the casino

Holiday events
• The community is invited to join Flossi Holloway for her annual free Thanksgiving dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 24 at New Murray Bell Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7579, 314 Idaho St., Farrell.
Mrs. Holloway has been putting on the feast for more than 30 years.
• An annual community Thanksgiving dinner will be held at noon Nov. 26 in the social room of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Mercer.
Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls and beverage will be provided. Those attending are asked to take a salad, vegetable or dessert if they are able.
Any person or family who might be spending Thanksgiving alone is welcome to enjoy fellowship with others and make it a special day.

• Salvation Army, 660 Fisher Ave., Sharon, holds its 20th Annual Thanksgiving Day Feast. Devotions at 11 a.m. followed dinner at served at noon.
The home-style sit down meal is open to everyone in the community.
