• The story behind The Haunted Mine, at the Tour-Ed Mine, began when a young mining tycoon, J.R. Bailey, bought a mine that was going to be shut down. He overworked the men he hired, and they eventually became entombed in the dark caverns. With their spirits angered, the dead began to rise, and these loyal workers fled the mine never to be heard from again.
