• The Sharon Steel Girls' third annual reunion is set for 1 p.m. June 22 in the ballroom of Avalon Golf and Country Club at Buhl Park.
Invitations have been mailed and reservations are due by June 7. All girls from Sharon Steel, Damascus Tube, Brainard and Masury divisions, are welcome.
Attendees are encouraged to bring memorabilia or pictures from years at Sharon Steel for the display table. Names should be put on the items that you bring.

• The annual Stoneboro High School Alumni Association Banquet starts at 6 p.m. June 27 in the Stoneboro Firehall, Linden Street. Social hour begins at 5 p.m., followed by dinner.

Fundraisers
• Holiday Hair, 26 Pine Grove Village Drive, Grove City, will be “Cutting for the Cure” from noon to 4 p.m. June 1.
Hair cuts for men, women and children will be $10 and waxes, $5.
There will be refreshments and raffles.
Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society’s 24-hour Relay for Life at Mercer High School that begins at 9 a.m. June 14.
• A Cruise-In and Antique Appraisal will be from 1 to 4 p.m. May 31 at McCandless Ford, 8416 Sharon-Mercer Road, East Lackawannock Township.
There will be a 50/50 drawing, Chinese auction, raffle, music and food. Antiques appraisal will be by experienced dealer Ron Tamber, owner of Country Connection Antiques.
Free admission. Appraisals are three items for $5.

• Fredonia Presbyterian Church, Water Street, hosts a braised steak dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. May 28.

• The Friends of the Community Library of the Shenango Valley, East State Street and Sharpsville Avenue, Sharon, are sponsoring a used book sale. The sale will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday and continue through Saturday.
All types of books — mysteries, fiction, history, biographies, self-help, children’s and magazines are for sale.
Most books are priced less than $3. Collectible books are higher.
All funds raised will be used by the library.
Patrons may donate gently used hardbacks and paperbacks during regular library hours.

Workshop
• Retired Sharon High School guidance counselor Sue McLaughlin will walk you through the steps of preparing your child for life after high school, in college, tech or trade school from choosing a major, selecting a school and figuring out how you are going to pay for it. Junior and senior students and their parents are encouraged to attend, however all are welcome.
The workshop will begin at 7 p.m. May 29 in the large meeting room at St. Michael’s Church, 80 N. High St., Greenville.

• McConnell’s Mill State Park in Lawrence County will host these events:
– Owl Prowl, 8:30 p.m. Friday. Bring a flashlight, wear sturdy shoes and meet in the Hell’s Hollow parking lot.
– Heart Hike, 4 p.m. Sunday. The first in a series of five guided hikes this summer. Wear sturdy shoes and bring drinking water. Meet in the Kildoo Picnic Area.
