Fundraisers
• Masury United Methodist Church will hold a roast beef dinner and Chinese auction from 4 to 7 p.m. April 12 at the Brookfield firehall, 774 state Route 7.
The dinner will be served buffet style and takeouts will be available.
Cost is $8 for adults; $4 for ages 3 to 12 and children age 2 and younger are free. Tickets available at the door or call the church, 330-448-1643.
• WPIC radio will air Mercer Rotary Club’s second annual Radio Auction from 9 a.m. to noon March 29.
Bid on items from fitness club memberships to automotive repairs, restaurant certificates, a hot air balloon ride and more by calling 724-662-5100 or 724-662-5104.
Items are to be picked up between noon and 2 p.m. that day at Mercer Area High School, West Butler Street.
Money raised will help fund local community events and charities.

• The Mustang Touchdown Club is sponsoring a Chinese auction April 13 in the cafeteria of Mercer High School. Doors open at 1 p.m. with the drawings at 3.
Admission is $3 a person at the door and refreshments will be available. All proceeds will benefit the Mercer football program. Info: 724-962-0312.
• Volant Volunteer Fire Co. holds a stuffed chicken breast dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. March 27.
Dinner includes potato, vegetable, salad, homemade bread, dessert and beverage.
Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 12 and younger. Takeouts available.
• Sharon Elks Lodge 103 is having a spaghetti dinner to benefit the Greater Pennsylvania Super Kids Soap Box Derby Race to be held June 28 on East State Street, Sharon. The dinner will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. April 6 at the Sharon Elks Lodge, 260 Connelly Blvd.
Menu includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and beverage.
Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children age 12 and younger. Proceeds will help defray the cost of the race.

• Presbyterian Women’s Group of Unity Presbyterian Church will hold an indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 5. Hot dogs, chips, soft drinks, coffee and pie will be available for lunch. Proceeds will be used to support local and foreign missions.
• The Altar Rosary Society of Our Lady of Fatima Church invites the public to its annual spring card/bingo party April 6 at Fatima Hall, 1225 Union St., Farrell. Doors open at 1 p.m.; lunch served at 2 and drawings begin at 3:30.
There will be a money tree, grand raffle and cash raffle and door prize. Tickets will be available at the door for $5.

• Sharon High School class of 1963 meets at 11:30 a.m. March 29 at Jess’s restaurant, Hermitage.
• Shenango Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1338 will hold nomination for post officers at 7 p.m. April 1 at the post home.
Elections will be at 7 p.m. May 6.
• The Northwest Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association will hold its bimonthly meeting today at Billy’s Black and Gold Bar/Restaurant, Sharpsville Avenue, Sharon.
The executive board will meet at 10 a.m. with the regular meeting at 11:30.
Special events
• The United Methodist Women of Wheatland-Farrell United Methodist Church, 75 Mercer Ave., Wheatland, holds a Stanley/Fuller Brush demonstration from 1 to 3 p.m. March 29 at the church.
Refreshments will be served.
• A gospel music Jam is set for 7 p.m. March 30 at Shepherd of the Valley Church, 2717 Valley View Road, South Pymatuning Township. Dinner will be served at 5:45 p.m.
Dinner includes pork chop, stuffing, mashed potato, vegetable, applesauce, cole slaw, dessert and drink.
Cost is $6 for adults; $4 for children ages 6 to 12; and free for children ages 5 and younger.

• The public is invited to The Sankofa House for Women’s third annual Patches of Godlight Awards Dinner at 6:30 p.m. April 11 in The Corinthian banquet hall, Sharon.
The honoree will be Martha Richards, founder and executive director of Southwest Gardens.
Emma Cunningham from Georgia will be the guest soloist for the evening. Cost is $25.

Reunion
• Farrell High School class of 1962 reunion will be held Aug. 16 at Oak Tree Country Club in Shenango Township.
A get-together is set for 7 p.m. Aug. 15 at Avalon Golf and Country Club at Buhl Park, 1030 Forker Blvd., Hermitage, formerly Sharon Country Club.
