• Animal Advocacy of Mercer and Crawford Co. Inc. will host a Dog Adoption Fair from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Family Video, 1138 E. State St., Sharon. Donations will be accepted. Donate a bag of dog or cat food and receive a free video rental of your choice. There will be face painting and free helium balloons for kids while supplies last.

• The Historical Society of Stoneboro will hold a flea market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 6 Railroad St., Stoneboro. Info: 724-376-2937.
• The C.O.O.L. Program talent show is set for 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Sharon High School. Proceeds will benefit Joshua Safe Haven Homeless Shelter in Sharon. Admission is $1 for students; $2, adults; and free to those 4 and younger or those who donates linen or kitchen staples.
• A multi-family yard sale to benefit Boy Scouts from Greenville will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Knights of Columbus, Greenville. • A benefit for Helping Hands and Helping Hammers will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Camp Wilhelm, 1401 Creek Road, Clarks Mills. The Christian music jamboree will feature The Slim Brothers, Jackie Webb, Bob and Linda Cook, The Stanley’s and more. All donations will go to Helping Hands and Helping Hammers. • UPMC Horizon employees will hold their fourth annual Motorcycle Poker Run Aug. 1.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. in the upper parking lot of UPMC Horizon’s Greenville campus. The ride begins at 10:45 a.m., with stops at Fatboys Saloon, Conneautville, Pa.; Hunter Jacks, Girard, Pa.; and Lake Tavern, Mecca, Ohio. The ride ends at approximately 4:30 p.m. at Fisherman’s Cove, Orangeville, Ohio, where dinner will be served. Tickets are $20 for drivers and $15 for passengers. • West Middlesex High School Class of 1979’s reunion will be held Aug. 7 and 8. An ice breaker will begin at 8 p.m. Aug. 7 at The Radisson Hotel, Shenango Township. A family picnic in Lackawannock Township Park will be at 1 p.m. Aug. 8.

Meals are scheduled for 1 and 5 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring covered dishes/desserts and table settings. Coffee and cold beverages will be furnished.

• The 91st annual Nicklin family reunion will be held Aug. 8 at the Fairview Township building, U.S. Route 19, 6 1/2 miles north of Mercer. Table committee will include the families of Jane Spencer, Eliza Taylor and Samuel Nicklin, Dick Love, chairperson.
Those attending should take a well-filled picnic basket to share and table service. Coffee will be provided.
• Sharpsville High School class of 1949 will hold its 60th class reunion from 2 to 6 p.m. Aug. 22 at Sharpsville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Home, Walnut Street.

Bus trip
• Knights of Columbus Council 4003 “Our Lady of the Valley” is hosting A Night at PNC Park 2 Pittsburgh Pirates vs. St. Louis Cardinals.
The price of $45 per person includes a coach bus trip, food and beverages on the bus, tickets to the game and a Pirates baseball cap. After the game enjoy Skyblast II - featuring Zambelli Fireworks and O.A.R. in concert.
