Mr. and Mrs. James “Jim” E. Buchanan will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary with a quaint dinner hosted by their children. The couple formerly resided in Sharon for 40 years and now live in a nice country setting in Lackawanna Township.
The former Sherry W. Gregg and James E. Buchanan were married Feb. 5, 1954.
Mrs. Buchanan earned the title domestic engineer by raising eight children.
Mr. Buchanan worked for Sharon Steel as an electrician until retiring in 1995.
Both enjoy growing their garden and trips to Florida where some of their children reside.
Their children are: Jamie Dobrozdravic, Cyndi; Robin and his wife Pam, Jeanne and her husband Mike Scott, Karen and her husband Jack Spehn, Gregg, Jeff and his wife Sue Ann and James Jr.
Twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren complete the family.
